This policy is written in plain language for general use. It is not a substitute for legal advice. If your organization serves visitors in the European Union or California in a way that creates regulatory exposure, have a lawyer review this document before publishing it.
1. Relationship to Our Terms and Conditions
This Privacy Policy works together with our Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the Site and our services more broadly. If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions on a matter of data handling, this Privacy Policy governs.

2. Who We Are
Executive Finance Partners
Email: blair@executivefinance.ca
3. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways.
Information you give us directly. This includes your name, email address, and any message content when you fill out a contact form, subscribe to our email list, or otherwise communicate with us through the Site.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we use Google Analytics (or a similar analytics tool) to collect information about your visit, including your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the Site. This is done through cookies and similar tracking technologies.
Information from third-party platforms. If you enroll in a course, all payment and enrollment activity takes place on Teachable, a third-party platform. We do not process payment card information on this Site. Teachable's own privacy policy governs the information you provide there, and we encourage you to review it.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries submitted through contact forms
- Send newsletters, updates, and marketing emails to subscribers who have opted in, through our email marketing platform
- Understand how visitors use the Site, so we can improve its content and performance
- Meet legal and accounting obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Cookies and Tracking
The Site uses cookies placed by Google Analytics and by our email marketing platform to support the functions described above. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time, though some parts of the Site may not function as intended if cookies are disabled. Google offers a browser opt-out add-on for Google Analytics if you would prefer not to be tracked for analytics purposes.
6. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on the following categories of third-party providers to operate the Site:
- Analytics: Google Analytics (or similar), which may store data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States
- Email marketing: a third-party email platform used to manage newsletter subscriptions and send marketing communications
- Course delivery and payment: Teachable, which handles enrollment, payment processing, and course access under its own privacy policy
Because some of these providers operate outside Canada, your information may be stored or processed in other countries, including the United States, and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
7. Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email we send.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at blair@executivefinance.ca.
8. Rights Under Canadian Law (PIPEDA)
As a Canadian business, we handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Under PIPEDA, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request access to it, and to request correction of inaccurate information. You may direct such requests to blair@executivefinance.ca.
9. Rights for European Union Visitors (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and the right to object to certain processing, such as marketing emails. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at blair@executivefinance.ca. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
This section describes general rights available under GDPR. It does not address every obligation that may apply to a business with a substantial EU user base, such as identifying a specific legal basis for each type of processing or appointing an EU representative. If EU traffic is meaningful to your business, a fuller GDPR-specific review is worth doing separately.
10. Rights for California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at blair@executivefinance.ca.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
12. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
